Honestly, lyrically, that was an average verse from KL. It was the statement he was making that has caused the internet to explode. And for good reason.
There are guys all over the place the could deliver a better verse, but if nobody cares who you are outside of your neighborhood or a small corner of the internet, who cares?
The guys from NY that could lyrically hurt KL AND have people actually care about it are legends that gain nothing at this point from even going there.

Then maybe someone like Joey BadA$$, who has a following and is gaining some steam but still has a ton to prove, could be the one to do it. If he came at the current king of hip hop in Kendrick and killed him on a track, would that not lift him to an incredible level? This isn't the 90's, were undergound rappers had to pass out mixtapes at small concerts and clubs and hope the people they gave it to would share it with their friends. With the internet, you don't really have to have a huge mainstream following to become a successful rapper. Kendrick didn't before last year.
