I acquired this recently from family and I am not musically inclined. I took to the local Guitar Center and had them fully test it. Said it was working flawlessly through both channels and everything. Just wondering what something like this is worth to a musician. Not finding much online about value. I am under the impression some people hate these just because of brand name and others like it because its a tube amplifier. Thanks

Looking through reverb, they go in the $200-300 range. I don't know a lot about it but it seems like a nice little combo for the money. The clean channel is supposed to be like a Fender tweed and the dirty channel is a Marshall JCM800.

Seems pretty rare. The tubes alone are probably worth over $100.

This one is being sold for $240, but looks like it's not all original parts. So Mountain Tiger is probably pretty accurate in $200-300. If you are trying to sell local, that price can vary, depending on how many audiophiles live in your area. If you are in Baton Rouge, I'd imagine that you'd get less for it than a place like Austin.

Thank you Sub. I am actually in Florida. I know squat about these but the guys at Guitar Center said it all looks original. I know it's a heavy son of a gun, that's for sure.

Horridly underrated amps IMHO. $200-300 for what the VCs bring to a player's table is hard to beat for pure value, especially if you A/B them to similar platforms. You could easily spend twice the going rate on other all-tube 1x12 combos in the current market and not get as much bang.

I bought one years ago off of Craigslist for $150. Eventually got rid of it because it didn't have enough clean headroom at gigging volumes. Wish I'd have kept it though. The lead channel was super gainy and too fizzy for my taste but if I turned the gain knob almost completely down I could get a nice thick tone out of it. The best thing about that amp was how the clean channel sounded with my P90s equipped epiphone casino. Straight up Motown r&b rhythm tones.
