Thought the MB might like this. We've had a bunch of records lying around that our fathers have passed down to us. We decided to build some shelves and sort them all out. Now that we have them out in the open we use them a lot more. A bunch of good stuff in there. We'd like to start adding more.

That's a pretty cool way to use wall space.

Nice setup.

I like the vintage player as well. I've been trying to get my old Firestone fixed but to no avail.

Aja is my girlfriend's favorite album, so it has to be displayed prominently. I think we have 4 or 5 Steely Dan albums.

Eclectic mixture. Looks like a 'recommendation of the month' club album compilation (assuming a lottery system for selecting the genre first).

For sure. I had only heard about 1/4 of the collection prior to sorting. Been a eye opening experience going through and sorting them. Like last night I discovered Deodato 2. Never heard of him, but I fricking love it.

Deodato - Super Strut

Sounds like Santana got high with a bunch of people in Santa Catarina, and they forced him to sit in at a predominantly white 70's jazz club.

Uma brincadeira.

The only way to listen to Steely Dan is on vinyl.

I think that looks awesome.

I know a girl that has an entire living room wall covered. It's like this.

How's the Crosley turntable? Does it scratch your vinyl?

Doesn't appear to be scratching things.

As for favorites, that's hard to say. Been playing a lot of Dave Brubeck Quarter and Earl Scruggs, but my favorites change weekly.

The player isn't the best of quality, but it works, or rather it does now. When we moved in together she had it and it didn't work. I had to open it up and rewire one thing and solder the female power adapter to the board. In the future it will most definitely be upgraded as I'm pretty big on good speakers, which this thing is lacking. Not bad sound, but could be better.

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. I have been looking at players for some months now. Definitely dont have the cash for a true audiophile set-up. I will probably get the Audio-Technica ATLP120. Been talking to the guys on needledoctor.com (great site by the way) and they are pretty high on it for its price range

I hear this advertised on the radio all the time. Is it really not any good?
