Yeah, maybe if us coonasses are lucky enough they'll play the transformers theme and teach us what real music is.

You do this to yourself man, you hype them like it IS the Stones, talk about a new attitude at the varsity, then it turns out to be a meh jr high rock band, which is exactly what's been at the varsity for 10 years.

Holy shite you're stupid. If all you know of them is a transformers theme song, there's not much else to say.

A jr high rock band? fricking retarded

This song rocks.. But you probably don't like rock music:

Pretty sure I know what good rock music is.

On the 4th of July I had a great time with Skynyrd,CCR,Hendrix, a fifth of Early Times, an 8 ball, and a fat sack.

Get on my level mon

i saw mute math at Voodoo a couple years back...they played early in the day and there weren't many people at the stage (relative to what it would have been later in the night)

and even then...their performance was kick arse and instantly made me a fan

I was there too. Right before their set, they were standing by the artist entrance waiting for someone. My buddy and I walked up to them and talked to them, got autographs on our voodoo ticket stub and asked them to rock out for us.

Was the 1st of many future run-ins with them.

Trust me, the problem is that I have heard what they play. My taste is beside the point though. This is the second time you've used the word HUGE to describe an announcement, when you really mean "pretty cool" and it's annoying. I'll say it again, this is the exact same shite that the varisty has been booking for the last 10 years (no pun intended). You have every right to keep starting these threads, but I think most have learned to not get their hopes up with anymore of your HUGE announcements.

There is a difference between being good and being big time. They're good ... but they're not big time.

Big time is Tool, Incubus, Jay-Z ...

I joked Seether was going to be the big name ... funny thing is, fricking Seether is more well known than MuteMath.

Even tough Seether is hot garbage they are definitely more well known than Mutemath. Which doesn't say a whole lot for mutemath. Chelsea's had them last year so the Varsity getting them doesn't sound very impressive, IMO.

Not really I'm pretty in tune with today's music and I wasn't real familiar with mute math beyond the name

This was already explained. The Chelsea's and one eyed jacks shows were special shows that the band wanted to do. They lost a ton of potential money by playing them, but thats what they wanted to do. Introduce the album to a couple hundred friends first.

They routinely sell out 2,000 person venues.
