I'm pretty sure Poliça - United Crushers is the only 2016 album I've heard so far. I like it a lot.

While great, that was March of 2015.

These are the ones I've enjoyed the most so far, although I still have so much to listen to.

Lucinda
Parquet Courts
Hayes Carll
Sturgill
Margo Price
Heron Oblivion
Dylan LeBlanc
Robbie Fulks

Listening to the new Ray LaMontagne album Ouroboros right now and I'm really liking it. Produced by Jim James and the MMJ guys are his backing band. Definitely a more psychedelic sound.

I didn't get turned onto it until very late in the year.

White Denim
Just caught them live at Phuzz Phest here in Winston-Salem. Usually not my thing but they are awesome live and just put out a great album. Very hard to describe but their sound is soul, classic rock, jam band, jazz with the energy of punk rock.
Sunflower Bean also played. Look out for them. They have many more years ahead of them. It's been awhile since I saw a whole band playing with underage Xs on their hands.

They are all over the place, different sound from song to song. I think that's why I like them so much

Listened to Kevin Morby- Singing Saw and Deakin- Sleep Cycle a bunch since this thread. Both are really good. Probably in my top 3 for the year with Parquet Courts.

Also listened to Damien Jurado. Sounds good, but I need a little more time with it.
