re: Music ain't what it used to be, it in fact sucks.

There are two main personality types when it comes to music in my eyes.

There's people who only like what their friend's like and what was force fed to them through movies, TV, radio, etc in their childhood adolescents. These people are lazy and aren't open to listening to something unfamiliar.

Then there's people who are open to new ideas and new music. These people frequent online communities and other means to find new artists and music that they like.

Gator Princess obviously falls into the first category. I sometimes fear that I may be drifting into that category. As I get older I feel like my priorities change and I put less effort into finding new music. Fortunately SXSW is every year and gives me an easy outlet for finding new artists.

It's not something I can teach.
