Multi-night Dates

What's y'all's strategy when it comes to a band doing a multi-night stop on tour? If it's a two night run, first night or second night?
I'd always assumed the second night would be the best choice, thinking the band would be going all out. The older I get, the more I've seen/heard, I think the first night is actually the show to hit. I think the bands, instead of saving the "best for last", actually find that first night most rewarding. Pretty sure that's the move from here on out.

I've found it's hit or miss. Therefore, I go to all of them.

depends on the band. if they change the setlist, both nights.
if not, night 2
