Haven't heard the song but I just watched the movie about them on Netflix and those were some wild little bastards. A couple of them are lucky to still be alive

That is terrible.
The Lords of the New Church recorded a cover of this one years ago and I was hoping the Crue would do it dirty like the Lords did it. The Crue totally played it clean and shitty.
I hope the movie is better than the couple of new songs they released to go with the movie.

All you haters on here are drinking the critics’ kool-aid. I agree the Crue’s version sucks and what the frick were they thinking remaking that song and including it on The Dirt soundtrack of all things?
However.....
The song “The Dirt (est 1981)” rocks its arse off!
And the movie? It’s every bit as raunchy, depraved, and balls out glam metal hedonism as I had envisioned it would be.
The actors who played the band members nailed it.
Mötley Crue and Sunset Strip Hair Metal will live on forever as an American 80’s Rock n Roll youth phenomenon.
However.....
