I’ve heard a few songs I really like (Helicon I, for example) and some other stuff that was meh. I love all the bands like this and want to get into them but don’t know where to start because they have so much material.

What albums should I start with? Say top 5 in order?

Just start with Young Team and work your way forwards. They have such an incredible discography. I change my mind on my favorite albums often.

I’d listen to Mogwai EP all the way through then work my way to Young Team and Ten Rapid and go from there. Great band

Edit: I’d made a top ten list of songs for some other thread, see below for some good ones to start with:

1. Helicon 1
2. Mogwai Fear Satan
3. Small Children in the Background
4. 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong
5. Kids Will Be Skeletons
6. Rage: Man
7. Yes! I Am A Long Way From Home
8. Secret Pint
9. Superheroes of BMX
10. Mogwai Fear Satan (Mogwai Remix from Kicking A Dead Pig)

The song “Hunted By a Freak” on Happy Songs For Happy People was my exposure to them and I became a big fan.

The Hawk Is Howling may be my favorite record by them

Rock Action
