Ministry "The Land of Rape and Honey" (1988)

I like everything Al Jourgensen has done. So I'll go with criminally underrated. I think it's probably the definitive album for Industrial music.

I lean to this too. May have to do with it being easier to digest if that's possible or makes any sense with Ministry. I'd probably go back and forth with either one though.

Both went into the rock directions...not comparable, if you ask me, when it comes to the sound. Land of Rape and Honey contained very little guitar.

MIATTT was great, I admit.

Pslam 69 was just on a whole new level.

I think Filth Pig is vastly overlooked. That's one helluva heavy, dark album and the remake of Lay, Lady Lay was brilliant...got no airplay outside of late, late night MTV and college radio. Brick Windows, title track, and Reload were great songs, IMHO.

Saying you liked Pslam 69 better than Land of Rape and Honey is fine...most people do. It's like saying you liked The Downward Spiral better than Pretty Hate Machine. Two albums later, both band's direction changes...me thinks it has more to do with bigger studio money and recording contracts.

This isn't an argument from me...love all of the albums mentioned...just gotta take Land of for what it is worth. Incredible sound for 1988. I remember my first order from Columbia House contained:
