My first Miles record was Bitches Brew. Bought it from Sam Goody without even listening to it because the art work was so cool. It was waaay far from anything I had ever heard by that time (I was in high school). Wouldn’t recommend for the uninitiated.

Bitches Brew is otherworldly. I never get tired of listening to it.

Im listening to this right now, and it might just be the sickest shite ever recorded. Dont know how ive never heard this before. Unfiltered, unrelenting, psychedelic voodoo jungle funk.

The genius of Miles was that he was fearless. He conceived something in Music and then he executed it. Most of the time it was great. I think “Dark Magus” was “Bitches Brew” on steroids, but man, I marvel to this day that Miles even conceived of that album! That was the album that jazz purists of the time just weren’t ready for. Today…yes, we can handle it!
