The genius of Miles was that he was fearless. He conceived something in Music and then he executed it. Most of the time it was great. I think “Dark Magus” was “Bitches Brew” on steroids, but man, I marvel to this day that Miles even conceived of that album! That was the album that jazz purists of the time just weren’t ready for. Today…yes, we can handle it!
