It really sucks to say this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Art is done playing live. My friend in Denver told me that Art had to be held up by a roadie last week to complete the set with the Funky Meters. Hell when I saw him back in October he was in rough shape.
What does this mean for the future? I could see more Meter Men shows like this with a rotation of keyboardists like Gros, Page McConnell, and Ivan Neville. Not sure what the funky Meters would do.
