quote:I was really disappointed when the 2nd of the 2 shows was 5 Finger. I did hear that Pantera played their own Saturday night show in San Diego.
They have only booked this tour with Zak & Charlie filling in but it’s going to be interesting where this goes from here. Anthrax & Black Label are basically large club acts now & this Pantera tour is filling up arenas & amphitheaters & doing amazing business along with playing the Metallica tour one night a week this summer. Money talks in the music business especially in this economy.
Phil looks/sounds pretty much the same. Interestingly, I thought Rex looked 75!

Phil had major back surgery about 20 years ago due to all the wear & tear he put on his body performing(just watch the performances in the 90's on Youtube) so he can't run around like he used to & Rex has had some health issues. It is a miracle all 4 original members aren't dead with the things they did.

A fan recorded James saying he couldn't sing Day and requested they skip it.

Yeah I saw that. Still no announcement if who new opening acts will be.
We still haven’t bought tickets for the rescheduled show yet. Tons of tickets on Seat Geek available for like $80 in upper level and I’m sure the prices will go down later this week.
Waiting to make sure show will still happen this weekend.

They just announced Suicidal Tendencies will take Ice Nine Kills place & open the show. Huge upgrade. Too bad Five Finger Death Punch is still going to play.

Bf likes Suicidal Tendencies so he’s happy about the new line up.
I’ve never really listened to FFDP (sure I’ve heard their stuff and didn’t know it) but reading some of reddit I’ve heard them described as the Walmart of Metal

That is actually a very accurate description of them. We walked into the Arlington night 2 show onto the floor right after they came on stage & lasted about 1 minute before we went straight to the club lounge to wait for them to get finished but could of course clearly hear them unfortunately.

I enjoyed I.N.K. for what it was worth. Someone who I was hanging out with knew one of their guitarist. The guitarist later came out into the pit with us.
I spent most of my time in the lounge/bathroom during FFDP's set. They could have been great or awful; I just wasn't interested at that point. I do recall them stirring the pot between Cowboys and Texans fans.
FYI, the livemetallica.com recordings of the two Arlington shows are now available for download.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on tickets for Sat’s show. $100 each (with fees) for front row of ring of honor section on 50 yard line.
It’s a small section right below the top upper terrace at Cards stadium. Each section in ring of honor usually only has 2 rows. Some maybe 5 rows.

That is a hell of a deal for tickets in that section. Have fun.

Yeah as soon as i saw them on seat geek I got them. We sat in the ring of honor Friday in the end zone and they were decent seats for upper level. Decent view and sound wasn’t bad and you don’t have a ton of people in your section to deal with. Plus the merch table, a bar, and food cart were steps away from us

At PHX night 2 now. Suicidal Tendencies sounded great. Rob Trujillo came on stage and played with them right next to his son (who is their current bassist)

Amazing show tonight! James mentioned he still wasn’t fully healed but still sounded awesome. They made up for shortened show last weekend with the set list for tonight…

Phoenix only missed out on Day and Moth. Not bad.

If Darkness had a soul.
That's when the band and the whole show really kicked in.
