And agree—better than dead & Co.

Each of these bands are so different in the way and spirit they play the Grateful Dead catalog. You’re gonna get a different experience at each one too.
My personal preference in order would go:
JRAD - they flip the songbook on its head. Mind candy. Red Rocks last year was the craziest show I’ve ever been too. The band. The crowd. It was a good scene.
DSO - smaller ballrooms and rockin crowds. I had a blast at the Boulder theater last year. They killed the SPAC 83 set. Made me a fan. It was right after I saw JRAD so I wasn’t sure if they would hold up to that show. I was blown away.
D&C - big stadiums and a huge shakedown scene. It’s like going to a Grateful Dead carnival. In boulder last year, the whole place was overrun by Deadheads. And you get to see Bobby, Billy, and Mickey. That counts for a lot IMO. Even if the music might not get to the point (tempo) some people would like.
But I’d go see any of them that come near me. Hopefully JRAD this Friday at Targhee Fest.
