Who is going?

I am driving in from Lafayette if the weather isn't bad. I bought the tix the day they went on sale. I hope the weather doesn't ruin my plans.

I can't wait.

Are they still projecting an 1130 start time for COC?

I may call the Civic later and post stage times here. The Civic is really good about giving those out.

Send them a Facebook message or tweet at them. They're good about replying.

Went to the show in Dallas Thursday night. Great show. Wish I could see this at the Civic.

Stuck in shite hole Gonzales doing house work this weekend. CoC is my all time favorite band. Pissed i'm missing them tonight.

Would appreciate a set list and post game review.

Saw Mastodon/Clutch/CoC in Houston the other night. All three were great bands; I got a "Black Label Society" vibe from CoC so not a huge fan but it was a great show.

Well, overall I thought the show was good.

CoC was solid. Played what you would expect them to play. Supposedly they have some new material coming out soon.

Mastodon kicked arse. I admit, I was a bit disappointed in the quick set. I thought for sure we would be in for at least 90-120 minutes. A 75 minute set went by way too fast. No encore either, which threw me off.

I drove five hours (round trip) and didn't get to bed till 5AM (4AM w/DST). I'll be tired, but it was worth it....just wish it was longer.

Oh, and the merchandise prices were "Tool" prices too, but I'm a sucker. Bought a $40 shirt anyway, since I'm OT rich.

COC sounds nothing like BLS. That's a strange comparison.

I thought the sound was a bit muffled for COC. Almost like they were too loud. Mastodon sounded great though. Good show all around.

I bought one of the tour shirts with the "goat" and tour dates on the back for $35. I was more appalled at the $60 tag on the signed vinyl and $40 for the signed tour poster from 2007 in England/Ireland.

I bought the "once more round the sun" shirt with the tour dates on the back. Mainly because I wanted to be warm after getting soaked outside. LOL

I needed a XXL because the shirt was going to shrink in the wash. Ole boy tells me XXL shirts are $5 more. Nickled and dimed you to death. It was like dealing with my kids' catholic school.

Concert merch in general is overpriced on purpose. They get you while you're A) usually drunk and B) on that live music high. It's not just the Civic.
