Marcus’ solo album. Just finished listening to it and it’s really solid from top to bottom. Very soulful. Definitely worth downloading.

A few too many love ballads imo, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I thought it was mediocre. Really felt like they handcuffed him on some of the album. Just sounds a little too restrained

I have to agree. I enjoy the soulful stuff, and the songwriting is good, but he really shines when he’s cutting up on that guitar. Saw him open for Stapleton last summer and he was smokin’ that thing!
I don’t mind Dan Auerbach, and actually enjoy early Black Keys, but it’s almost like I hear too much of his “touch” on this album.
