"Went Looking for Warren Zevon's Los Angeles"
Its sound is different from anything they've done before. It almost sounds indie - like Death Cab or Straylight Run to me. They do it well, though, and still maintain their southern feel. I dig it.
I'm anxiously anticipating this new album in September. These guys continue to evolve as they age without compromising who they are. They remain my favorite band.

Women and Work was definitely different. They went more bluesy and soul. I still loved it, though. I like that they don't box themselves in and continue to just write what they want to and what feels right to them at the time. The love they have for their music shines through and makes it all great for me.

I appreciate that with any artist, I just don't always like the direction some choose to go...
I get that those influences are inherent in the Memphis music scene, but I hated that record!
That song you linked is okay, better than the direction on W&W

Ben sounds like he's trying to be a little softer with his vocals instead of belting it out and straining (which I happen to love about his voice). Can't wait until the album drops.

Yeah he usually quits smoking while they're recording albums so he can sing better.
That stops once touring kicks back up, though.
