I need help figuring out a song. I'm having a complete brain fart. It has a woman in it that does most of the singing. Something about him being a piece of shite. And he basically just talks throughout the song. It's not very well know.

Prima was from New Orleans. I saw him twice in the early 70's, about '73/'74, In the French Quarter. Was on TV for a while too. Van Halen covered his songs on MTV in his prime. "I Ain't Got Nobody" was one.

David Lee Roth covered "Just A Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody" hoss...don't hang that shite on Van Halen.

no idea about your song but Louis prima as King Louie in jungle book is the pinnacle of movie musical numbers

Couldn't agree more. My 3 year old daughter and I watch Jungle Book about 5 times a week. What a great soundtrack, and Prima absolutely bosses as King Louie. As a matter of fact, I think the Jungle Book soundtrack is Disney's best.

This one? "Embraceable You / I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good"
Here's another one. No Keely Smith, though. "There'll Be No Next Time"

Agree. Sometimes we forget the ending duet with Prima and Phil Harris. Priceless. Watch it and laugh with my granddaughters. Best times of my life.
I Wanna Be Like You.
And this gem.
"oh the aim of our patrol,
is a question rather droll."

In a military style!
Reaaal jungle harmony!
I read that the Beatles were supposed to be the buzzards at the end but had to back out for whatever reason.

Yeah, the buzzards had had the Liverpool Mersey accents and mannerisms. Fun movie.

That's several of their songs. Keely Smith is the female and is an ex-wife of his who, last I heard, still lives in Covington.

First golf course I ever played was Louis Prima's Pretty Acres in Covington.
