for the record I am a feature film art director and M+W is a hobby, but i guess technically i am a dive bar owner and proud of it. Especially since that was a poorly lit Lesbian bar a year ago. And now we have a band like Shovels and Rope.
Call the acts niche, but that's how you start and build a brand in a city that already has 5 viable music venues, so for us to even get these acts is tough.
