Thanks,
That's the one I've been eyeing. What do the pickups sound like?

Those are some nice looking guitars. I've got a '78 LP Custom that looks very similar to the guitar on the right.

I think it might be worth your while to find a GOOD teacher in real life if you have the time and the money. Someone who can help you reach your goals for playing in a systematic way. With all of the resources available now it's easy to jump all over the place and not ever really get anywhere.

i'm trying the Yousician app.
gives you about a half hour-hour of free lessons per day with the option of paying a monthly fee for unlimited.

Last night was only day two for me.
it starts of extremely basic, but you have to complete each step before it allows you to proceed.
we'll see how this goes.

I started playing April last year and now know a good numberof songs now strictly from this guy's youtube videos (Marty Schwartz). He makes it pretty easy to follow and learn the chords. Has a lot of beginner songs, and once you get more advanced he also has more difficult songs to learn. I'd recommend him if you are trying to learn.

You sort of have to train your fingers to be more agile first. Often times when I try to teach someone else, they have trouble putting the fingers in correct chords/place. Use Guitar Tabs, basically tells you where to put your fingers. After learning simple chords, its a matter of hearing the tone in the song and matching it with your strums of the guitar. Takes practice but once your fingers are capable, you can pretty much use Guitar Tab for any song you want to play and learn it within a few minutes.
