By Derek & the Dominos

Eric Clapton, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle & Bobby Whitlock(3 Americans) ; and Duane Allman joined 9 of the 12 tracks providing his legendary slide guitar.

Clapton’s best work of his career imo.

Appreciate the subject. EC's voice was so good on Layla. I can't count the times I've banged on the ivories playing the piano part. It's inspired me to tickle them now and go back in time.

The soul in Clapton's voice in Bell Bottom Blues is fanfrickingtastic

I agree with both of y’all. His voice on this album is intense, and after this album due to age/change of styles, he never really sang like this again

Great post! Great album! Thanks.

Maybe the best track on the album. Scary unnaturally good.

Have You Ever Loved A Woman?

But a better version IMHO-

Awesome in every conceivable way. Clapton at his best and most raw, so painfully obsessed with George Harrison's wife, and a guitar duel for the ages with Duane Allman on the title track.

Great album.

My favorites are key to the highway and thorn tree in the garden.

I also love the jams cd in the box set.

See that's the one track I don't like. It doesn't go with the rest of the album.

Best studio album of all times!

Bobby Whitlock was primary vocal on Bell Bottom Blues.
