Lafayette music scene 98-00

Just taking a shot in the dark, but there was a band from Laffy that was pretty popular and had a good party vibe. Memory is foggy but might've been a jam band type sound.
I want to say there was a guy named Primeaux in the band.
Any idea who they were? Me and a buddy were talking about our adventures in Lafayette (we drove in every other weekend from Shreveport) and neither of us can remember the band name.

After looking at Julien Primeaux's Facebook, that is most definitely not the guy I'm thinking about. Couldn't be more opposite. Think trucker hat and patchy beard opposite.

The band you're thinking of was probably Santeria. Primo was in that band. Great guitarist by the way. These days he owns his own brand of hot peppers.

Troy Primeaux is who you are looking for. He is growing hot peppers now and making hot sauce. Look up primos peppers.
The singer from the band, Dege Legg, went out on his own and has had songs on deadliest catch and on the movie Django
