Any good?

Never owned one. Some people like the Pro-Tones from the 90s.

The Korean stuff made since 2000 is LIGHT YEARS better and it is worth searching harder and deeper and paying a more for.
I don't know if there was a learning curve needed in the Cort/Samick and their ghost-build factories in the 80s and 90s, and/or a lack of high tech tooling or technology to aid who were obviously non-skilled factory floor workers ...
but generally the MIK guitars of those decades only looked like American and MIJ guitars, they sure didn't feel or play like them. Lackluster wood selection (and VERY often plywood bodies), pitifully soft alloy hardware, anemic pickups and fretwork that obviously focused on quantity vs quality. Even the best examples are meh.
Unless you're given one or you buy it for virtually nothing at a yard sale or via classifieds, I'd say pass.

I have the same rules for any guitar. Pick it up, play it. Can I fix it? How cheap can I get it?

Are Classic Vibe Squires Korean made?
I own one (Tele) and held a couple others. Zero issues. Especially if you find one barely used.
If they aren’t, I’m sorry. Good luck with your hunt.

My Classic Vibe Telecaster says "crafted in China"

Pretty sure that they're made in China, but the qc on them is pretty spot on.
I've owned a few and they were all great players...

Most CV Squiers are now made in Indonesia.

I've never seen a Korean-made Classic Vibe, they are all MIC and MII, and the lackluster MIK era to which I referred above predates the Squier CV series.

I don't know if I already told about this, but, a few weeks ago I'm at my friend's shop, this old guy brings in a Gibson LG.
This thing looks like it fell out of the back of a truck, slid through a ditch, hit a fence post, then got stepped and crapped on by a shod pony.
The old guy handed it to me first, because he had never been in the shop before and doesn't know who is who.
That thing sounded awful, but it played like a dream.
Some guitars talk to you, that one did to me. I really struggle to say how it felt. Just perfect. It sets you on fire. My friend noticed too and locked eyes with me as I'm playing it. We've been talking about this.
I've got guitars that are 100 times better in every way, but that thing is beyond explanation.
I have the man's phone number and where he lives.
