I have come to the conclusion that you relied too heavily on The Smiths, which I could very nearly have replaced with R.E.M. You used The National for "deep" I imagine, and The Smiths for "sensitive" and inferred little to nothing from The Verve, Uncle Tupelo, and I doubt that you know (prior to Googling) Mando Diao. Your work is pretty good - at first glance - but you may need to delve a bit deeper into your studies.
