Visiting one of my kids in Chicago, just walked out of Who concert. Absolutely incredible hearing them backed by a full orchestra! One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. If this show comes anywhere near you I recommend not passing it up.

Saw it in Nashville last week. The Tommy section wasn’t great but by the time they got to Quadrophenia they were on fire.

Well worth going to see!

They impressed me much more than I anticipated a few years ago at the Jazz Fest.

That sounds pretty fricking badass to get to hear The Who catalog with an orchestra backing them. Did they bring a choir as well?

I wish more bands did concerts with orchestras/choirs. Bring Me The Horizon from Royal Albert Hall 2016 is one of my favorite concerts to listen to. Pretty much any band that brings a friggin orchestra to the party is going to enhance the experience as long as they don’t overthink it or stray out of their element.

No choir, but plenty of back up vocals. To hear their stuff with a full orchestra was incredible. It was a very balanced sound, and to hear a full compliment of a string section kicking in was just beautiful, and of course a full brass and woodwinds section as well. I brought my two kids who are in their 20s and know just a little bit about the Who and they were pretty overwhelmed. Like I said in my original post, if the show comes near you I wouldn’t miss it.
