Highly suggest seeing him in concert if you can. Saw him and Levon Helm at Red Rocks in 2009....John played with just two other guys one on stand up bass, and another on guitar...it was AMAZING!

Love him! I cover Sam Stone.
His new stuff is really good, too. Fair and square is a fantastic record.

I pretty much love everything he did. If you can find the version of Souvenirs where Goodman actually sings, give it a listen.

John Prine is the man.
"Please don't bury me
Down in that cold cold ground
No, I'd druther have "em" cut me up
And pass me all around
Throw my brain in a hurricane
And the blind can have my eyes
And the deaf can take both of my ears
If they don't mind the size"

Prine has always been a favorite. I wouldn't compare the two, but I was never into Dylan.
Neil Young was always my Dylan.

Kidding I love John Prine, "there's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes"
