It's been quite a while since the brothers recorded anything new together, but they have been doing shows for the last few years. After a first playthrough, this record is very good but missing something. The arrangements are on point and are very JAMC, but there's a certain edge missing on many of the songs. I think a strong producer would've made this a great record rather than very good.
Still, I am thrilled to get new music from one of my all-time favorite bands (some songs aren't "new" necessarily since they are tracks they each played post JAMC and have rerecorded together for this), and I am glad it is very much still the classic JAMC sound.
7/10
Anyone else listen to this yet? Thoughts?

I really didn't like the first single, but I heard the second song, Always Sad and I dug it. I'll probably pick it up when I get the chance.
I'm a big fan. I greatly regret not seeing them in Nola back in December. It was just a bad time financially between an anniversary vacation and Christmas. They're a criminally underrated band, plus they look so cool and it's obvious that they just don't give a frick if they entertain you or not.

Unbelievably, Jim´s voice is still intact.
I agree with the OP, not sure about the production.
There´s some wonderful sounding guitar, but it´s pretty refrained from the sonoric presentation.

The female vocals come from their sister, no?

Presidici {Et Chapaquiditch}
Probably the most JAMC sounding thing on here, from the forefront of the guitar rumble.
