It's really sad how fast singles climb the charts

It's ridiculous to me how a country artist can release a single that sounds like everything else on the radio and it immediately goes to #1 on iTunes.
I also find it depressing how people describe mediocre songs as "hits". Can we let the song make it through a few rotations before deeming it a hit?
I saw on Twitter earlier that the gillis silo apparently released a new song on the radio today and a guy tweeted that the song is a "definite hit" and said there is "no doubt about it". That is just depressing to say. The song might be good but the quick trigger on calling songs amazing is pathetic.

That's just the sad reality of music now my man. I'm with you. Everyone wants the next "hit" since that's all that plays on the radio now. It has created a watered down environment of music. It really sucks for us true music lovers.
Although, I will say, if you search and know what you're looking for, there is still plenty of good music out there. I just wouldn't look for that music to be played on the radio.

Who gives a eff about be charts in 2016? With streaming services there is so much music out there to listen to I don't give a damn about the charts.

I agree with you both. I was just pointing out the frustration.

It sucks that the radio sucks? Who cares about terrestrial radio?
