Went to see Chainsmokers and they exceeded my expectations. Had 3 people with me that never heard of them before and all they talked about today was great their experience was.

Really didn't have a clue what they sang besides Closer. I thought they were just doing a cover of it until I looked the next day. Tickets were free so no complaints.

If you by in advance, it's like 100 bucks for a three day pass. You don't have a clue what the lineup is though. We went two days this year and that was worth the 100 bucks.

Plus

A) The weather was by far the best it has EVER been. It was even too HOT at times. That has never happened.

B) The restroom situation is 10 times better. They have urinals for the guys now. There are no lines and you are in and out faster than ever.

C) And apparently Bud Light is a craft beer.

I noticed that too. I was housing Holy Rollers while people were ordering Bud Lights for the same price.

As far as it being an EDM festival, there is one stage dedicated to that. I went all three days and didn't even see that stage. Everything I saw had real musicians with instruments.

The answer is yes, this was the first time in years they had nonedm music worth the price of admission.

Pretty Wreckless
Claypool and Lennon
Rebelution
Mute Math
Cage the Elephant
Arcade Fire
Tool

Tool was fricking phenomenal as always. They were worth the entire price of admission.

Claypool and Lennon was fantastic as well. They did a few Primus and Beatles covers.

Rebelution rocked the frick out of the crowd.
