Saying this is really dumb.

I fully appreciate this, and I agree. What I am saying is that you can not enjoy something, and also recognize its impact on music at the same time. Its not hard.

Not the same as,

Is it one of the GOAT albums of the nineties? Of course it is. To say otherwise is also just plain dumb.
Greatest of all time of the nineties?

I assert it's one of the worst albums of the 90s. My proof is as good as yours

I mean, I find it hard to believe how someone with great taste in music, can listen to Let Down and not think it is an incredible song. Getting really high and listening to it with headphones is damn near orgasmic.

Well, it's not the worst I've heard from them, that's for sure. Still, that singing. Damn that's horrible. The guy has mastered whining as a singing style.

Fair enough. I can see how his voice can be annoying. There are a few songs that it even annoys me. The musicianship on OK Computer is just so perfect to me, I can overlook it.

I'm not as high on their other albums, except maybe In Rainbows. I could listen to OK Computer every day though and never tire of it.

I can see this to. Its not for everyone. The guy has an incredible range, but I can see why someone might not enjoy it. I will say that Johnny Greenwood is my favorite musician in the band. My GF loves the music, but isn't a huge fan of Yorke's voice.

It's my Dark Side of the Moon for the 90's. It felt like Alan Parsons helped produce it

I'll never get why people post threads like this. They always turn into some pissing match about who's taste in music is correct.

All GOAT threads are dumb, no matter the board.

Greatest known albums:
1) Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
2) Deja Vu (CSN&Y)
3) Beatles "Revolver"
4) Beatles white album
5) Tapestry by Carole King. Not at the rarefied level of the first four, but satisfying in its nostalgic purity.

I'm far from a Radiohead fanboy, but OK Computer, on vinyl, from Airbag > Karma Police is top, fricking, notch.

I totally agree with you. My personal favorite song is Let Down but there are so many great songs on this album including Paranoid Android which I think is the best song in the last 20 years or so. One problem why Radiohead isn't more popular is because their songs aren't meant to played on the radio, the order of the songs on Ok Computer are laid out like that for a reason. I think their whole work on an album is meant to listen to the whole to appreciate it.
I don't know exacly how to explain it , but Ok Computer creates an atmosphere when you listen to it, even if you're not high when listening to it.
