In honor of Jimi Hendrix on the anniversary of his death

Here's a tribute to Hendrix in a round about way. This is an Eric Clapton/Steve Windwood version of the Band of Gypsys hit "Them Changes," written by Band of Gypsys drummer Buddy Miles.
This song was played live from Madison Square Garden over a cell phone for Buddy Miles on the eve of his death from congestive heart failure at his home in Austin, Texas.

First record I ever bought was the Band of Gypsies LP. I chose this version to link because of the back story to Buddy Miles' death. He was near death the night of the concert and Clapton and Winwood arranged to have Miles hear it over the phone.

The only survivor from the Experience, Band of Gypsies and the lineup in 1970 with Jimi, Mitch and Billy Cox is... Billy cox.
