As in JD Simo? Yea, he's a beast of a player. Unbelievable tone and feel.

She sure is. That's "Kay". 2007 Les Paul Standard Plus in Honeyburst. Has been gutted electronically and hardware-wise with all Callaham parts (TOM Bridge, inserts and tailpiece) and has some Jensen caps to go along with some Motor City Detroiter Pickups that are absolutely filthy PAF type buckers. Really dynamic and ballsy with tons of harmonic character. It's my baby and the one thing I would run into my burning house to save.

Getting some TLC.

Back to Simo, I love watching them play live on youtube. They bring it, JD Simo is a generational talent IMO. He's up there with Trucks, Bonamassa, Haynes, and Davey Knowles with tone and feel. That red ES he has has some magic in it. I love the story about how he acquired that guitar.

One of the sweetest finishes Ive ever seen on any guitar.

Ive got a stock 71 SG. Plays like a wet dream!

Simo kills. Going to see them Thursday in Birmingham.

Saw them open for Deep Purple at the Ryman a few months ago. Pure energy.

Saw JD many times cutting his teeth on Broadway in Nashville at Roberts. The guy is unreal and his band is incredible.
