If BIG and Pac were alive in 2013...What would they be doing?

Kind of a Jay Z thread. I havent been that big of fan of Jay Z....Last album I truly thought was "great" was dating back to the Blueprint. And I always greatly appreciated Blueprint 2 despite a few flaws. Black Album was solid ...other albums after meh..
But listening to his new album....I really thought about where would Pac and Big be in today's rap. FWIW I think the new Jay Z album is very good.
But maybe I've been wrong....Maybe Pac would have "peaked" around 2003 or 2004 as well....In fact today...maybe he rarely raps and just focuses on his acting career. Kind of like Cube and Will Smith
even though Pac is a much rapper than Cube imo.
In terms of Biggie..I could see him still killing it lyrically. But I wonder if the "transition to Jay Z" still would have happened. Sure Big might be better....but Jay Z the business man might still surpass Big in general. The wife, the cash, the business ventures he's in.
Maybe I've been wrong all along. A 44 year old Jay Z just put out an album that even someone who "isnt a fan" of Jay has to step to back and say...he's got the album, the chick, the athletes, the clothing line, etc etc...
Maybe...he would have been bigger than BIg and Pac even if they did live.

biggie would have been on the biggest loser and or possibily a weight watchers commercial or two.
Pac would have gone on to win an academy award for acting and kept releasing poetry every couple years and performing at music festivals as a headliner.

I'm sick of him using "Jay/Beyonce" tracks as a means to mention Tupac. "I'm on my outlaw shite like Tupac" and "Its Me Against the World" etc..
Shits just disrespectful. Weakest tracks when he mentions Pac. Or maybe I'm just still mad about the Beyonce/Jay Z version of Me and My Girlfriend

Its definitely a big what if on how they would handle the growth and change of the industry since their days and it sucks that we never find out what would have been
Then again it was probably best for their legacy to go out like that
You also have to take into account the big changes in hiphop that came from the Biggie/Pac incident. Beefs were way less real after that

I wonder this quite a bit about BIG because we got so little especially compared to the same time frame 2pac was releasing 3 albums a year etc
And Biggie could've really had stating power since his absolute forte was freestyle but the handful of songs he actually wrote before recording are exceptional

I definitely think tupac would have focused more on acting. He was a really good actor, and as he got older and richer, rapping about thug life gets less believable.
I think Biggie was a pure lyricist, and I can't imagine that he would have stopped rapping. Lil Kim would still be rapping as well, since Lil Kim was always just rapping stuff Biggie wrote for her.
Here is another question: what is diddy doing right now if Biggie is still alive?

In regards to how Biggie's death relates to Jay-Z: I think that is an interesting question. There can be no denying that Jay-Z was beneficiary #1 from Biggie dying.
Wouldn't Jay-Z have forever remained in Biggie's shadow if Biggie were still around. I mean, let's be honest, Biggie is a better rapper than Jay-Z. Biggie would have retained the "best in new york" title that Jay-Z eventually took and made millions and millions off of.

new yorks a big city plenty of room for both of them. I don't think biggie had the business acumen and probably would have ended up like Nas, highly respected but at the end of the day not as successful financially as his peers.

Jay-Z would still be who he is today if Biggie was still alive. Biggie being alive wouldn't have stopped Jay from starting Roc A Fella, then Rocawear, ect ect.
