I wonder why Suhr uses 3 saddle bridges on their Telecaster type guitars, but not

but not on the Stratocaster type guitars.

For that matter, I don't see many 3 saddle bridges on other Fender models either except the Telecaster.

And no, I'm not considering to buy a Suhr. I probably couldn't justify the cost. A Fender is fine with me. In fact, I have a Korean PRS SE I paid $260 used that is a good guitar.

Yeah I don't think a three saddle bridge on a strat is actually a thing.

3 saddle bridge probably wouldn't work as well with a trem style guitar.

The only place you will commonly see barrels supporting pairs of strings are on a vintage or a vintage inspired Telecaster, or an early Precision Bass or its vintage reissue. Its bridge was two barrels.

FWIW, I use three compensated brass barrels on all my Tele builds. Brass barrels for tradition and tone; and compensated to correct the intonation woes that led Fender to go to individual saddles on most guitars - even the Telecaster - in later years.

I bought a fender 62 telly AVRI pickup set and bridge together the other day for a good price, all brand new. That bridge has 3 steel barrels. I've never seen that before. I'm gonna give it a shot, If I don't like it, I have some compensated brass saddles to stick on it.

You don’t need to justify buying a fine world class instrument. If you want it and can afford it, buy it.

Once we’re done moving I’m buying a Suhr Badger amplifier.

I've never played one in person, but I love the model of the Badger in my Axe FX 3.
