I went down this rabbit hole a few years ago. Apparently she was a model from Alabama and is still alive today (or at least a few years ago.) She had no connection to the band whatsoever - she didn't even like their music. The band never even got to meet her.

I happened to catch Johhny Marr at the Fillmore a few months ago in NOLA. This song still hits so hard even with Johnny singing it.

Because Henry is just a workaholic. He's a pretentious workaholic, but he doesn't pretend to be anything else. He knows that he's just one bad decision away from being back at a minimum wage job. He could be any of us...

Yes I agree with both of you. But mainly Morrissey being a pretentious prick and a “professional intellectual which is the worst type of person”
