How long is Lil Wayne's skateboarding phase gonna last?

He's totally whoring out his Truckfit line and drops a reference to it in every song and video. Guy won't leave the skateboard at home for videos anymore.
When does the pop/hip-hop community start turning on these shenanigans?
Yes, I know a lot of people are annoyed by Lil Wayne and have been for years. But he's taking on a new type of annoying that I believe even his black fans will wonder wtf is going on with him.
Or will he bring skating to mainstream black culture?
I'm a fan FWIW. But this is getting on my nerves

It's definitely on the rise, but my question still stands. How long can someone skateboard around in his videos before he becomes not cool for the thug and club-banger crowd?
