Meh, for me personally. I would like to see that girl in the song though. He is quite descriptive (weaves a good image with the lyrics).

Waste of time. That is the most annoying pile of crap I have ever heard. Makes me change my XM radio to another station when he comes on.
As for Don Henley, love his music, especially "Boys of Summer", but I can't stomach listening to his politics.

Gotta love some Dirty Laundry.

His other obvious efforts aside,Building the Perfect Beast influenced everyone at the time."Boys" is a brilliant lyrical work, not to mention the arrangement and production.
"Watch the basket people walk around and mumble".Probably my favorite on the record. Always made me think of Cannery Row for some reason.

Ahh....love the song that line is from "Sunset Grill". The song's lyrics seem exotic but the song is about a famous hot dog/burger joint on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, CA. Rode by the place when I visited.
I really like a lot of Don Henley's solo songs as they were a part of my 80s childhood. Dirty Laundry, Boys of Summer, All she wants to do is dance, End or the Innocence, Forgiveness (Heart of the Matter), and New York Minute were all good songs of his.

Don Henley is some great, coked-out soft rock

Met him in the early 90's before the Eagles reunion - nice guy. My fav song of his is The Heart of The Matter. Has to be the album version and not the single version that was released.

Don Henley is as bland as a saltine on a piece of white bread with a side of celery and washing it down with water.
