Hi Res FLAC file playback issue

I downloaded some 24bit hi res FLAC files for free to see if it was something I was interested in. I have a lot of MP3 and MPEG4 files that I can play using my ONKYO TX-NR626 receiver using the DLNA function. The FLAC files do not appear on the screen through the ONKYO display on the TV. I can play the FLAC files on my computer using the computer speakers with VLC player.
I would like to hear the hi res audio on my stereo set up. Preferably streaming through DLNA. HELP!

It's not streaming but you can put the files on a USB stick and plug it into the front of your receiver.

What are you using for a player?
You have to have a player that is capable of playing a hi-rez file. For example, iTunes will store any hi-rez file (24bit/96k), but will not play anything higher than 16bit/44.1k (way to be Apple, Apple)
I use a Mac and downloaded Audirvana+, and for years used another downloadable player called Amarra. Another is PureMusic. They run around $50 and are well worth what they do (numerous features and functions).
JRiver is what most audiophiles that use PC use for streaming hi-rez.
