As someone who didn’t really listen to him before because I’m not really a huge outlaw country fan, I really like this album. The experimentation with synthesizers and a more ZZ Top gone psychedelic vibe is really cool.

It has it’s a fantastic album that is super creative and experimental. Lot of older fans don’t seem to dig it but it was one of my favorite albums of the year

It’s awesome, the flute and guitar work so well together in Remember to Breathe.

Speaking of what is that song about? I genuinely think it might be about rape.

I like it. There was a thread on it when it was first released.

It’s about record men raping artists. It’s a metaphor.

Really good album, and the anime film was mind blowing

I’ll give it a listen. Been skeptical because I doubt he’s better than Childers, which is ironic since he’s producing Tyler’s shite

Does it have a psychedelic sound to it?

It's very good but not anything I would call psychedilic. Sturgill wrote an 80s style rock album dissing the music industry and media manipulation. I've listened to it a lot while riding around for work and my daughter loves to watch the anime video for Sing Along on the way to school because the warrior is a girl.

The closer, Fastest Horse in Town, is going to close a LOT of Sturgill shows...it is one he can rail for 15+ minutes...straight dirty on that guitar.
