Guitar players/builders: Need advice re: removing headstock decal

I'm picking up a partscaster this evening. The builder built it with a Squier maple neck. I'm thinking about removing the Squier headstock decal, because the guitar's not really a Squier. But I have no idea how to do that. If it's going to possibly look terrible, then i'm not going to do it. Searched on youtube and found nothing.

If it really matters to you you can get a custom decal made to replace that Squier decal. My best friend did a partscaster and got a "Margaret" decal in honor of his grandma. Not sure the site he used.

That's actually what I was thinking about doing. A custom decal.
I have nothing against Squiers. Most are actually excellent budget guitars.

I'd like to build my own and put a "(My name)caster" decal on it.
