While pt1 is better know this is more bass critical (or seems to me) and practically all Peter Green.

The Real Me - there is nothing else like the lead bass on this one. Entwistle and Moon were just an incredible duo at the peak of The Who.

I REALLY miss bass guitar in the "music" these days.

But I'll add (maybe for the drum/bass combo as much as the bass):

Bruce Thomas was GREAT. His brother was a great drummer too. Interesting, he used to just hang out at the pub, pop in 'loaded' after Elvis and the boys arranged, and nail the first take. Time and time again. A machine.
