Got to paw at a Gibson Acoustic. 1941. Good times.

This one
Good times. How many awesome vintage guitars did Johnny Cash and his popularity tarnish? This guitar was apparently painted black in the 60's.
It was cool to play and cool to sniff. Yes I sniffed the soundhole. 1941 had a smell to it.

I'll throw this on here one more time.
J35 LINK
1936 J-35 a fella at my church has. It blows away any other acoustic I've ever played.

Guess I'm too stoopid to figure out how to post the pic.
Oh well.

It was very nice. Wonder what it would sound like without the (I assume) Johnny cash paint job from the 60’s.
The guy working in the room made me laugh. It was just on a case in a rack so I grabbed it. He told me what it was but I thought it was a reissue etc. then he points to a stool and says “sit down. Be comfortable”. Probably urging me to sit and not fumble with a rare guitar.
