A lot of good memories from this whole album. I never did care for mother too much though but am I demon, not of this world, hunter, etc all rocked.

Love that album despite Rick Rubin's somewhat unfortunate production job. It's a wonderfully dark and intimidating bunch of songs.

Rick Rubin is a fatass hack hipster. I knew when he was announced as producer of Metallica's Death Magnetic it would sound like it was recorded in a bathroom but when I read about him showing up to the studio and laying on the couch barefoot for 15 minutes then getting up and leaving I counldn't believe how bad Metallica's decision making had become.

It’s been my phone ringtone for 17 years. I programmed the notes in a Nokia that long ago. Now with smartphones I use the real thing but one way or another...17 years.
