Gear Talk: Amp Problems!!!

I've decided to take a little break from the drums for a while and get back to guitar for a bit.
Anyway, I'm having some problems with my amp. Here was the setup I was running at the time.
Strat---Tuner---Cry Baby---Boss DS2---Big Muff---Amp
and...
Effects Loop:
amp---EH reverb---Boss CH1---Phase 90---amp
I was playing for about 30 minutes and all of a sudden the amp went silent. I wasn't playing loud at ALL (clean channel at about 9 oclock with only the DS1). No pop or crack or anything, it just gradually got quiet and eventually inaudible. It took about 15-20 seconds. I turned the amp off, turned my loop switch off and unplugged that, then ran guitar straight to the amp. No dice. I took it apart last night and I don't see anything burned or busted. Anyone have any tips on where to look?

Yup. I was under the impression when they go out it's more instant and you hear a crackling.

Take a look at the preamp and output tubes. When they're blown they look similar to a blown light bulb. You should be able to find plenty of info online for replacements. The last time I did mine I ordered them from an ebay store, but I don't recall the name. They sent directions and everything.

I pulled out the power amp tubes and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I'll check the other ones tonight.

Ez, did you rebias your amp afterward?
I had a guy that did all this kind of crap for me at the local shop but he moved to Tuscon. The new guy screwed up my volume pot on my strat. Don't trust him.

Got home and checked the amp. My fuse was blown. From what I've read, that means that if my tubes aren't burned out, they're about to be.
That being said, anyone got any tube recommendations? I don't shred much (obviously...since I only have 3 fingers on my fret hand
) but I like a slightly crunchy sound. On my old amp I could control most of my tone by my attack. Play normal for cleans and be a bit more aggressive for a bit of a bite...that's the best way I know to describe it. Kinda like Frusciante's tone here. I like bordering on dirty when playing normal and being able to go a little grungy without pedals. My Haze is GREAT fit for what I want but I have to swap channels for the dirty sound.
ETA: Maybe I'm just spoiled by my jubilee, but that's the kind of sound I like if that helps. The Haze can go as loud as I want but it just won't start to break-up like I want. I could never drive the stock haze tubes to get what I liked.
