Another new song dropped today, I like it..

Also multiple outlets are reporting Josh Freese will be the full time new drummer.. making him the youngest full time member of the band (excluding the back up singers which includes Dave's daughter)

I'll give it a shot. Their first album is an all time great. Everything since then has been kind of hit or miss for me personally. I dug their 4th album alot.

New song, The Teacher dropped and is 10 minutes long. This doesn't sound like anything I've heard them do. It's probably the best thing I've heard from them in over a decade.

It looks like the whole album is about Taylor Hawkins. Yeah, the closer, “Rest”, is very somber and emotional.
I’m really digging the whole album though. It’s the best I’ve heard from them in forever as well.

I've had this album on repeat the past month. To me, it's their best since There is Nothing Left to Lose. The whole album is just an emotional rollercoaster and just feels very authentic, which is something I feel that Foo Fighters have been lacking for decades.
Don't sleep on this one. Give it a listen, or five.

FF has been my favorite band since the moment I first heard Everlong in 1998.
I saw them live nine times from 2007 - 2018 and, since I'm also a drummer, Taylor was a favorite of mine and when he died I hoped they'd just hang it up.
I still think Wasting Light is their best album, but this one is really good and I'm coming around to Josh being in Taylor's seat.

Just relistened to this album again and it's definitely the best one since Wasting Light. First time listening to it I had it the same as Sonic Highways, but this one tops it after a relisten.
