It is because they accept that Phish is the superior band.
Or just enjoy music and don't see it as a contest. Phans are so insecure and worried that people may not believe them when they say they are the greatest. Frankly, no body gives a shite

Phish phanatics are like texans. Nobody cares about Texas unless you're from there yet texans constantly bring up how great Texas is. Same can be said for Phans. I love Phish but their die hard Phans deter people away from their music.

Hey everyone guess what. Both Panic fans and Phish fans suck for the most part. The fans vs fans arguments are to quote patches "like watching two retards trying to hump a doorknob"

NOLA.com review of Phish at Jazz Fest

has this been posted yet? Some gems in there

quote:

After about an hour, I plunged even deeper into the crowd. In the interior, Phish fans huddled on the sandy dirt. Herbaceous smoke, emitted from misshapen cigarettes that are entirely legal in Washington and Colorado wafted into the air. A young man offered to trade me a powerful stimulant for my wide-brimmed straw hat. I declined, pointing out that he wasn't even sunburned. Caravans of travelers came and went, carrying boxes of beer cans and water, searching for their villages. A society was coming about before my eyes.

quote:

A young woman from New Orleans named Jennifer F. Alla was a Phish first timer, like me. But by the concert's two-hour mark, her opinion was formed. "I think they are individually eclectic," she said and spontaneous geniuses all at once. I think they are oratorically orgasmic."

DWD jam sounds great on the soundboard

The second set was very good.
The first set was below average.

I saw this thread coming a mile away.

Phish gets built up on this board like they are the next coming of Led Zeppelin or something. Plus add the typical festival set

The funniest part of my day Saturday was when I started packing up my shite on Acura Stage after Anders finished and before Phish. The look on this guy's face next to me as I packed my stuff was priceless. He was in such shock that somebody didn't want to see Phish.

Guy: You leaving?
Me: Yes, I'm going to see Robert Plant
Guy: So you're leaving for the BEST band!?
Me: Yeah I guess so. I forgot my LSD at home today. Have fun.
