i got really into this song on the chambers brothers "love peace and happiness" 2x Lp, which comes with a Fillmore East live record. the live album had a song "everybody needs someone" that is phenomenal, but i never found it on any of their records until i came across a french 45 on ebay where a studio version was the Bside to a Marvin Hamlish cover. I was so stoked, and i shelled out $30 for it. when i finally got it, i put it on, and the studio version was bland and lifeless, completely unlike the live cut. i was so pissed. and in the next 8 years, ive continued to run into this same 45 at shops for like $5. so now i just buy records as i come across them.
