Is this possibly the greatest "power groove" metal album of all time? I listened to it for the first time in about 20 years and man that album still brings it. I got away from that kind of music over the years but every now and then I get a little urge to hear some good ole pantera.

Killer album. This has been one of my alltime favorites since it came out. My tastes have mellowed a lot over the years, but this record still makes me want to break stuff. Slaughtered is my fave on this cd.

It's up there. Pantera was on fire from 1990-1996.

Vulgar had a bit more groove to it, but both are outstanding.

Yeah slaughtered is a good one. Strength beyond strength gets the blood flowing too.

It's my favorite of theirs. Like another poster said, my taste has mellowed in the intervening years, but every once in a while I really enjoy mainlining some Pantera.

I was 14 in 1990, Pantera was by far my favorite band in the world for the next decade or so. Now that I'm 40+, it's not exactly what I listen to all the time, but I do enjoy throwing on some now and then. For me it's really the vocals that I lose interest in, especially on Trendkill and beyond. Once Phil decided to just guttural scream everything it kind of got lost on me. I would love to have just instrumental versions of everything and drive down the road jamming out to Dime and the gang

One of the greatest arguments in music is which album is better -- Vulgar Display of Power or Far Beyond Driven?
