Got the Bandsintown alert today. Pretty stoked about seeing this show.

Just checked their website. Looks like they are doing 15 US shows in February and March between Japan and Europe.

Sunday night off date from their tour with Municipal Waste. Probably just local openers. Not sure if I want to go to this.

They are on my list of bands that I haven’t seen live. I feel like I have to make this show because who knows when they will play locally again.

Hmm. This is interesting. A lot of those Europe dates conflict with the Slayer farewell tour here in the States. I'm guessing those dates have been on the books for a little while and that they'll be rescheduling the ones with conflicting dates because obviously they (Exodus) won't be touring without Gary, and I wouldn't think Tom and Kerry would want to have to find a fill-in for him when it's the final tour.

Actually, they may have to rearrange more of the later non-festival Europe dates too as this is only the first leg of Slayer's tour.

Hell YES you have to. Love seeing them in smaller venues. Been too long here in Jax that's for sure. 2005 and 2009 last two times.

The one silver lining to Slayer hanging it up is that I would assume Exodus will become much more active than they have been recently. I'm glad they've stayed intact over the last few years with no lineup changes since Souza returned.

Exodus still tours without Gary. I don't think he was with them when I saw them a few years ago.

Well I'll be damned. I wasn't fully aware of that and just assumed not because for a long time now I've just considered it to be his band. I do see now though that Hunolt has filled in for him some, which is certainly very appropriate. Also, Pat O'Brien has pitched in some too. Very capable of course.

I saw Slayer at the Civic Theatre in Nola 2 or 3 years ago. Gary was playing with them then.

He makes way more money with Slayer than Exodus. They're his priority. He works with Exodus when he can.
