I hope I didn't just put the jinx on 'em...they're getttin' up there...
The core 5 and main songwriters from 1966 to present day...
Justin Heyward (70)
Graeme Edge (75)
John Lodge (71)
Ray Thomas (75)
Mike Pinder (75)
...and other past members...
Denny Laine (72) (of Wings fame)
Patrick Moraz (68) (replaced Pinder during '80's MB tours)
Only Clint Warwick, the bass player from the very early and mostly unknown first blues album "The Magnificent Moodies" (1965), has died (2004 at 65).

If I'm not mistaken every member of the original Manfred Mann lineup (1962!) is still alive

Never really cared for much outside of "Nights in White Satin" but that track is as epic as it gets... Shoutsout to Heath Kirchart in Sight Unseen!

It's actually a beautiful love song.
Days of Future Passed is my all time favorite album.

Kafka---yep, they sure are...they are all around the same age as well...74-77.

I believe every original Rascal is still with us; they started around '64-5

Heady...do yourself a favor...
Late at night when you are kicking back, play the entire "Days of Future Passed" album. It is a concept album that starts in the AM and goes through the day (Tuesday Afternoon), the evening, and night (Nights in White Satin). The music's feel also changes from bright and chirpy in the morning to a more somber tone with lots more orchestrated pieces as it closes.
A masterpiece, IMO.

I am on a MB run tonight---I'm on the second album--"In Search of the Lost Chord" now, and have their third, "On The Threahold Of A Dream" in the cue...

Those are the 3.
Don't care for their other albums as much, but they are a Top 5 British band from that era for me personally.

As a whole, I like the first 4 better than the last 3 of the "core 7" albums of their early run before taking a break ('72-'77). They all have good tracks though.
"Days" is my favorite LP, however, my favorite song from them is actually off of the Seventh Sojourn album (the seventh of the original seven)--"New Horizons"...just a beautiful tune!

They're lucky guys. Not many 60s bands have everyone left
